This 10″ LP was Doris’s first solo album release. It was a big hit on the American Billboard album chart and followed hot on the heels of a series of successful singles. The songs featured on this compilation were recorded between December 1948 and June 1949. Each had been previously available on four 78-rpm singles, most notable of which was Doris’s Top 10 interpretation of dreamy ballad “Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered”. On 13 June 1955, this album was repackaged and renamed Day Dreams with four additional recordings specifically for the increasingly popular 12″ format. The bonus tracks were “Imagination”, “I’ve Only Myself to Blame”, “If I Could Be with You” & “Darn That Dream”. You’re My Thrill was re-issued in 2004 on CD format by Sony Music (UK).
