10 Nov – 29 Nov (5 days) 1958. I enjoy being a girl was recorded during these sessions fan favourite. Plus same year as Everybody loves a lover. summertime plus other film related singles. Walter Donaldson’s You’re driving me crazy (what did i do?) remained unreleased from these sessions until the mid 1970s. he wrote makin’ whoppee! There are times when the “swing” style of this album tricks you into thinking that you are ing to a Frank Sinatra or Dean Martin album. What you get instead are some very slick, effortless performances from one Ms. Doris Day. It is obvious that Doris’s big-band background stands her in good stead as she just glides with ease through the chosen material. Frank DeVol’s arrangements also give the overall project that extra kick!
