This advertising business satire was the second movie from the Hudson-Day partnership. Advertising account executive Carol Templeton is infuriated by the immoral but lucrative tactics adopted by rival firm exec Jerry Webster. The pair become tangled in a hilarious farce centred around the bogus product “VIP”. The scam is devised by Webster who eventually masquerades as the inventor to acquaint himself with Ms. Templeton. The deftness and wit of the Oscar nominated screenplay makes this film an absolute winner and one of Doris Day’s best romantic-comedies!
