Introducing Jim Pierson, the man behind Doris Day’s television show DVDs
December 22, 2007 2 CommentsThis site thinks it is about time we brought to your attention Jim Pierson. He is the driving force behind all of the wonderful DVD releases of Doris Day’s TV shows. Mr. Pierson is a Los Angeles-based television producer of music programs, documentaries, CDs and DVDs. Some of his past CD and DVD credits have included:
- California Dreamin’ – The Songs Of The Mamas & The Papas
- Fever – The Music Of Miss Peggy Lee
- Close To You – Remembering The Carpenters
- The Petula Clark Anthology
- Doris Day – The Love Album (2006 Edition)
- Dusty Springfield – Heart and Soul
As an understatement Mr. Pierson was a crucial player when it came to securing and finalising each of the Doris Day show DVD releases. Before his involvement the possibility of these shows making a debut on DVD format looked extremely bleak. This site would therefore like to extend a very big “thank you” to him for the obvious care and dedication that he and his pals at MPI Home Video have given each release.
Don’t miss out on the Season 5 DVD set of “The Doris Day Show” as it features audio chit-chat between Mr. Pierson and dear Doris as they watch two of her favourite episodes from this season.
