50th Anniversary DVD edition of Doris Day & Rock Hudson’s #1 movie “Pillow Talk”

Universal Studios are to release a new edition of the much adored romantic comedy “Pillow Talk” which first paired Doris Day with Rock Hudson.
Universal Studios have just confirmed for me the full release information for the 2009 “50th anniversary” DVD edition of their box office hit movie. In short, you’ll get some new specially commissioned ‘Bonus Features’ which commemorate the 50-year legacy of this classic film. My only criticism (and it is big-time criticism!) is that Universal did not elect to remaster the film footage in time for its landmark anniversary. They instead used an existing digital transfer from their 2007 Day & Hudson comedy collection DVD set. The 2009 “Region 1″ (U.S. and Canada only) DVD will be in North American stores from the 14 April 2009.
