British radio & television legend Sir Terry Wogan has covered Doris’s trademark tune ‘Que Sera Sera’ in aid of the BBC’s Children in Need appeal.

BBC Children in Need, with its Pudsey bear mascot, is the annual telethon held by BBC television. Since 1980, the event has raised over £500 million (over $800 million) to help improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across the United Kingdom.

This years show takes place on Friday, 20 November 2009 at 7.00pm on BBC One, with a variety of entertainment acts all doing their bit to raise money. The seven hour live show is hosted by Sir Terry Wogan and will feature performances by Pixie Lott, Taylor Swift, Alesha Dixon, Spandau Ballet, Madness, Harry Connick Jr, Sugababes, Stereophonics, Little Boots, Paolo Nutini, Nolan Sisters, Cheryl Cole, Westlife, Alison Moyet and Annie Lennox.

One of many fund-raising projects for this years appeal is a new album BANDAGED TOGETHER. The CD and download double album features the charity single ‘All You Need Is Love’ as well as a cover version of the Doris Day classic ‘Que Sera Sera’ which is performed by Sir Terry Wogan and Welsh Rock chick Cerys Matthews (Catatonia).
