Marsha Mitchell travels south to visit her sister Lucy but en route witnesses a murder by the Ku Klux Klan. Marsha discovers after arriving at her sister’s house that her sibling is married to one of the Klansmen. Tension builds when Marsha reports the incident to the District Attorney (Rainey) leading to the film’s dramatic climax!
