BBC Radio 2 broadcast four programmes devoted to Doris Day

A series of four programmes celebrating the life and career of Doris Day have been produced by BBC Radio 2 for a 2004 biography produced by acclaimed British radio network.

Each 30 minute programme takes a significant song from Day’s repertoire to unlock the key to her fascinating life as a singer, movie and TV star. The biography also charts career high-points such as Calamity Jane (Secret Love), The Man Who Knew Too Much (Que Sera Sera) and the series of movies she made with Rock Hudson.

“Sentimental Journey”: The bio features interviews with many of her peers blended with archive interview clips of the great lady herself. Part 1 of this series airs on Friday – April 23rd 2004. The series then continues on the 30th April, 7th May and 14th May.
