MPI Home Video supplies this site with an advance preview of “The Doris Day Show – Season 3″

We’re only just into 2006 and fans will be jumping for joy that already MPI Home Video have scheduled a further two DVDs for release. As reported previously this includes the first of Doris’s 70s TV specials plus this 4-disc set of Season 3 which is packed full of the usual bonus features (detailed below). Both are due out in North America on May 30th!

Originally broadcast to North American audiences between 14 September 1970 and the 15 March 1971 the show’s lead character Doris Martin (aka Doris Day) relocates with family to a new apartment in San Francisco above an Italian restaurant.

* Note: The Young Love pilot was produced in early 1971 by Arwin Productions (Doris Day’s company) as a proposed weekly series for CBS-TV. The network did not pick up Young Love as a series, though footage from the pilot was subsequently used in the episode of the same name that appeared in Season 3. New segments with Doris Day and Meredith Baxter were also added. CBS-TV later aired the original Young Love pilot on May 24, 1974. This DVD release heralds the first time the pilot will be seen in its original form since 1974!
