Warner Bros. Australia debut many Doris Day movies down-under on DVD

Australian fans can jump for joy that they now get to experience some of those wonderful movies which were previously only available from the USA.

The pictured set is a scaled down version of the American DVD boxset of the same name. The Region 4 edition is an exclusive release to JB Hifi stores and their website (on sale from 15 November 2006). It includes “The Pajama Game”, “Billy Rose’s Jumbo”, “Love Me or Leave Me”, “Please Don’t Eat the Daisies”, “The Glass Bottom Boat” and “Young Man with a Horn”.

I have also been informed that the included extras compare favourably to those on the Region 1 discs. The set is housed in a single Amaray plastic case with a cardboard slipcase. It retails at $57.99 (Aus $).

STOP PRESS: On the 11 April 2007 Warner Bros. (Australia) released Region 4 DVDs of “Lucky Me”+, “On Moonlight Bay” and “By the Light of the Silvery Moon”.
