2007 British series of Doris Day 2on1 CDs from Sony will include her RARE religious album

Some familiar and obscure Doris Day albums appear in a repackaged series of 2on1 CDs from Sony BMG (UK).
On the 30 April 2007, three 2on1 CDs are being released which include two existing titles that are simply being repackaged (not sure why Sony BMG feel the need to do this but hey it’s their decision!) – the third will combine the now deleted volume one of ‘Hooray for Hollywood‘ with the RARE 1962 album ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone‘.
The inclusion in this series of Doris’s 1962 spiritual LP is significant as it is the last of her albums to be given a commercial release in this format with its original artwork intact. The downside is that the songs for this album play on the CD in an incorrect run order although they are listed correctly on the packaging. As we were involved in producing these CDs we were quite disappointed that our offer to check the different stages of production were declined. The consequence of this is such mistakes can so easily creep in when the people producing the release don’t usually have a knowledge of the artist let alone the specific album. Ending on a more positive note ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ has only previously been sold through Doris’s animal charities and fan clubs so it is a welcome addition to the 2on1 series!
