Doris Day’s Animal Welfare Organisations

Doris Day is a devout animal lover and an animal welfare advocate. In the 1970s, she departed the glitz and glamour of a full-time career in Hollywood for a life helping our four-legged friends.

Ms. Day achieves this ongoing quest through the two organisations she set-up, which are the Doris Day Animal League (DDAL) and her charity the Doris Day Animal Foundation (DDAF). In 2006, the DDAL joined forces with America’s largest animal protection organisation The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS).
