Their latest offering will this time celebrate the star’s stellar style from her early years as Hollywood’s girl-next-door to becoming a glamorous fashion icon of the late 1950s and 1960s.  Yet again the popular paper doll artist &  internationally recognized fashion authority David Wolfe has come up with some truly beautiful designs all of which were notably approved by Doris Day. Wolfe collaborated also on this project with Doris Day enthusiast/expert Pierre Patrick.

“Doris Day was such a superb singer and talented actress that it is sometimes overlooked she inspired women everywhere to copy her clothes, her hair, her sunny personality. This paper doll book is a tribute to her fashion impact.” – David Wolfe

The book features 24 of Ms. Day’s most iconic film fashions from movies such as ‘Calamity Jane’, ‘The Pajama Game’, ‘Pillow Talk’, ‘Lover Come Back’, ‘The Thrill of It All’, ‘Midnight Lace’ and ‘The Glass Bottom Boat’. Included also is a personal message from Doris, making this an extra special collector’s item for fans of Doris Day and paper doll enthusiasts. A donation from the sale of each book will support the Doris Day Animal Foundation.

We understand that a launch party for the book at Atticus Bookstore/Cafe in Connecticut is expected during the last week of January or first week of February 2011.

I LOVE that you are coming out with Doris Day Paper Dolls! As a small girl, I use to cut out paper dolls from McCalls magazines at my grandmothers farm. I found some at the farm just a while back and was thinking about WHY noone has them anymore.
Thanks for bringing this back to children. With all the high tech things out, I think its time to go back to basics.
I would appreciate any info you send to my email address about purchasing them.
