Doris Day talks to BBC News 24 after her latest album makes chart history in the UK!
September 13, 2011 4 CommentsDoris Day talked to BBC News 24 yesterday evening after learning she had made chart history with her latest album ‘My Heart’.
The multi-million selling American singer has become the oldest ever artist to enter the UK ‘Top 10′ album charts, with a collection of new work. The new album features 7 previously unreleased tracks which the star recorded between the 1970s and 1980s. When asked about the outcome of her new record Ms. Day exclaimed “…I’m thrilled with all of this!”.

How great that “My Heart” has confirmed what we all knew: That admirers of Doris Day are legion, the world over. And how wonderful to hear her interviewed “live” from California. An American fan.

Doris, since receiving “My Heart” I have listened to it numerous times. I’m really loving it!!! Terry’s “Happy Endings” is just wonderful. His voice reminds me a little of John Denver…. absolutely love it.
Really, I can’t get enough of your work. My youngest(7yrs.) can play on the piano by ear, and she is picking some old favs. out like “Moonlight Bay”. I think I’m raising them right. lol
