i would just like miss day to know that she was the one movie star i looked up to because of the quality of work she did. as a young girl, growing up and watching her movies, like pillow talk i never saw things that would make me think less of myself, and that i would always need to make men happy. i think watching her movies that she showed girls, that you could be your own women, and never had to give in to the pressures of sex. i watched every movie i could find with her in it, at least 30 times over the years and still watch them whenever i can find them on cable.
i loved the was she worked with rock hudson, and her other leading men. they will always be a standard of movie making we will miss and need today in the business, its a shame the way our leading stars influence our children today. even today she is showing a wonderful way of life, that should still be shown to our kids of today. please just let me tell her that i will forever be grateful for the movies i have got to watch with her in them and i don’t think our kids will ever know what they missed in her and her generation of movie stars.
