‘Pillow Talk’ – Pre-order the first ever Doris Day film to be released on Blu-ray in the USA (1080p video transfer + DTS-HD Master Audio 2 Soundtrack)

As previously reported, Universal Pictures celebrates its 100th anniversary by restoring 13 of its most iconic films – this includes Doris Day and Rock Hudson’s 1959 film “Pillow Talk“.

The newly restored film transfer of “Pillow Talk” can now be pre-ordered from amazon.com and will be released in North America on Blu-ray format on the 1 May 2012.

The Blu-ray/Digital Copy will feature a 1080p video transfer and a DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 soundtrack. Universal are also including some bonus features: Commentary with film historians Jeff Bond, Julie Kirgo, and Nick Redman; Back in Bed with Pillow Talk; Chemistry 101: The Film Duo of Doris Day and Rock Hudson; Unforgettable Characters; Restoring the Classics; and The Carl Laemmle Era.

‘Pillow Talk’ will notably be the first Doris Day film to receive a Blu-ray release and the picture quality is described as “erupting with dazzling color and detail”.
