Doris Day’s comedy film ‘Do Not Disturb’ with Rod Taylor to receive a REGION 2 DVD release in July 2012

On the 30 July 2012, the UK will finally catch up with the USA when it receives a sparkling new DVD release of Doris Day’s 1965 rom-com ‘Do Not Disturb’ – one of three films which Doris Day made for 20th Century Fox.

‘Do Not Disturb’ is a humorous and wonderfully entertaining film co-starring Australian hunk Rod Taylor (‘The Time Machine’ & Hitchcock’s ‘The Birds’) which is centred around the couple relocating to jolly old England (London).

The movie is released in the UK courtesy of Second Sight who were the independent DVD label behind recent Region 2 releases of Ms. Day’s other Fox films ‘Move Over Darling‘ and ‘Caprice‘. Their latest DD release comes with a recommended retail price tag of £15.99 but if you pre-order it now from stores such as amazon.co.uk you will likely benefit from “new release” price promotions.

We have been given an advance preview of the new Region 2 DVD. As you will see from the screen shot above Second Sight’s newest DD release again does not benefit from any of the delightful bonus features contained on the American re-issues. We are however still thrilled to see the film released in the UK especially as it was one of  the few ‘Doris Day’ films to be completely overlooked here during the age of the VHS video tape!

DO NOT DISTURB [Region 2 DVD]

Pre-order it now from amazon.co.uk
