Support Doris Day Animal Foundation by bidding on an autographed 2013 calendar!

Below is a message from the Hollywood star and animal welfare campaigner Doris Day:

It’s that time of year again! Time for yours truly to dust off my photo albums and choose a handful of pictures that I think you might like to see throughout the year. You see, it’s time for my friends at Discovering Doris to publish their annual Doris Day wall calendar. I’m happy to help out by selecting a batch of photos — from all stages of my career — because you know what? The proceeds all go to support the babies. That’s right! The Doris Day Animal Foundation will benefit from every calendar purchase you make. You can order from Discovering Doris as well as

And to sweeten the deal, I’ll be autographing five larger versions of the calendar (16.5” x 11.7”), which we’ve put up for auction on (auctions are open to US fans only). There are only 20 of these A3-size calendars being printed worldwide!

Each of the images in the calendar was scanned from original photographic prints, transparencies or negatives. And then each one was beautifully restored by Metro Imaging, one of the top photographic specialists in the UK. They’ve made me look great, and I thank Discovering Doris for putting out such a quality collectible each year.

And of course, I thank YOU for everything you do to help DDAF help animals and the people who love them.

I want to wish you and your four-leggers a very happy holiday season, and hope you’ll enjoy the new calendar all the way through 2013!

    Dear Doris Day,
All of my life since about 16 yr old I have fallen in love with all you have done and all you are …your person, and you are twice beautiful/ on the outside of course but also on the inside.
I listen to my CD’S of your music and my 33 yr old daughter loves your movies that we watch often together. She and I love the Jim Garner one “Move Over Darling” (amongst all of the films
it is hard to pick a favorite but that one and “Love Me Or Leave Me” are my 2 most watched I think. The music in the Cagney film is great.
I am 68 now and you are my favorite singer and actress my whole life and with all of the talent out there over the years I still love you the most…you never made a movie or song that I did not love.
For the DDAL I will support as best I can and love doing it…all of your life you have done so much for animals, my kids love animals, with 4 dogs and 5 cats now I think.
    God bless you.
    Wally, a lifetime admirer.
