British songstress Sarah Weller – who is a lifelong fan of Ms. Day – is to give another tribute show celebrating her idol’s milestone birthday which will take place a few days after on Sunday, 6th April 2014 at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in London.
Sarah presents the songs that proliferated Doris Day’s film and recording career comprising of the legendary films Calamity Jane, Pillow Talk, Love Me or Leave Me and Young at Heart and her extensive recording collaborations and classic repertoire Sentimental Journey, Day by Day, Bewitched, Close your Eyes and Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps. Interspersed with facts about her life, her co-stars and cohorts, combined with the continuing interest in her life this is a show that is suited to fans young and old.
