American cable channel TCM (Turner Classic Movies) are celebrating Doris Day’s 90th birthday on April 3rd, 2014 with a day devoted to the Hollywood star’s most popular feature films (listed below ) – these will broadcast on the channel in both the USA and Canada.

TCM go a step further with their celebrations as they have also teamed up with Universal Studios Home Entertainment to present the first ever North American DVD release of Doris Day’s box-office hit MIDNIGHT LACE. In the nail-biting thriller Doris plays Kit Preston, elegant newly-wed wife of British Financier Anthony Preston (Rex Harrison). Shortly after moving to one of London’s stylish neighborhoods, she is threatened by an unknown party who terrorises her with menacing phone calls.

We know many of Doris’ North American fans have been quite frustrated by the fact they could not buy this much adored film on DVD so we recommend you pop over to TCM’s website to order this exclusive, limited release. Just for the record the only remaining Doris Day feature film awaiting a release on DVD format is her penultimate film from 1968: ‘Where Where You When The Lights Went Out?‘.
