Doris Day would often sing her heart out in her musical-movie roles but excluding her big-band days (of the 1940s) she rarely ever performed to camera as “Doris Day – The Singer”. Only three magical occasions exist where Doris actually sang her hit singles and other popular standards and this was during the following television ‘variety’ shows.
