Julie is a woman terrorised by her husband Lyle, who plots to kill her, just as he killed her first husband. The problem is the police can do nothing without proof of a death threat. So, the next move is up to Julie....

Julie nabbed two Oscar nominations for best  screenplay and song. Incidentally, the song trophy was lost to another Doris Day classic Que Sera Sera which originated from The Man Who Knew Too Much

The location for this picture was Carmel (California). Doris loved the place so much that 25 years later she made it her home.
