Doris Day began her screen career when she arrived at Warner Brothers in 1947 for filming of this irresistible movie. In it a married couple suspect each other of fooling around. When the husband announces he can't join his wife on a planned ocean cruise, she hires a nightclub singer [Georgia Garrett] to  masquerade as her as she stays behind to spy on her husband.

Confused? There's more...hubby then hires a detective, Peter Virgil to keep an eye on who he thinks to be his wife. Thanks to the directing skills of Michael Curtiz, who keeps the plot moving along smoothly, these improbabilities become rather believable! Honestly they do!!

Songs featured: I'm in Love, It's You or No One, Put 'em in a Box and the Oscar nominated It's Magic.
