Based
on the Broadway musical, this film adaption features several
actors from the stage cast including John Raitt and Carol Haney.
Doris was drafted in to replace the show's original female lead --
Janis Paige.
With pioneering choreographer Bob Fosse
responsible for the
dance numbers the tuneful tale of pajamas, love and labor union vs.
management conflicts are brought to life !
Song
highlights are I'm Not At All In Love, There
Once Was a Man and Hernando's Hideaway.
It's
also worth noting that the American DVD release premiers a deleted
scene
in which Doris sings The Man Who Invented Love. From
what I understand this track was excluded in favour of a reprise of Hey There.
