It's November 9th, 1965 and New York is having one of its largest blackouts leaving millions of Americans in the dark. This includes Waldo Zane, a New York executive, who is in the process of stealing a fortune from his company. Destinies take their course because of the outage and Broadway actress Margaret Garrison and her husband, Peter find themselves in his world...

Some refer to this as a bit of a "misguided comedy" and the truth was it did little to reverse the critical backlash which Doris faced during the latter years of her movie career.
