Christmas has come early for Doris Day with a new year honour...

Warner Bros. (USA) debut-on-DVD six more Doris Day movies:-   Young Man with a Horn Lullaby of Broadway Love Me Or Leave Me Please Don't Eat The Daisies Billy Rose's Jumbo The Glass Bottom Boat The American Region 1 boxset is due out on 26 April 2005.

NEWS UPDATE: 22 January 2007

A Region 2 version of the American DVD set (with the exclusion of Lullaby of Broadway) was initially available "exclusively" from HMV stores.The good news it has now been given a nationwide release. This should therefore make for a slightly more competitive price.

As recently reported a Region 4 edition of the set is also now out.

Young Man with a Horn (1950)

Charged with dynamic performances by Kirk Douglas (the title role), Doris Day, Lauren Bacall and Hoagy Carmichael and pitch-perfect direction by Michael Curtiz, the film is a feast of hot, cool, moody jazz. Calamity Jane
