A touch of nostalgia here with this adorable collector's
item based on the original 1952 production from the Whitman
Company...
It was quite a
surprise in 2007 to see this retro item resurface as the original had
long vanished into the passages of time.
Thanks to the
Paper Studio Press based in Maine we now able to purchase a Paper Doll that
first came
out in 1952 in a pocket folder format. This faithful reproduction
however now comes in a book format but other than a few minor
alterations this pretty item retains all its delightful 1950s
fashions and the two dolls. The booklet
features full colour illustrations and has an up to date
biography of Doris on the inside back cover from the acclaimed
fashion forecaster David Wofe. It is a total of 16 pages plus
the cover and measures around 10" x 13".

copy now from

The good news is
that due to the success of the existing paper doll Paper Studio Press
are now investigating the possibility of doing a new one that
focuses on Doris's TV show and movie fashions. This new project
is brainchild of Pierre Patrick the author of
"QUE
SERA SERA: The Magic of Doris Day Through Television".
